Before the start of the new session of the Assembly, the State Commissioner of Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, has sent a letter to the leaders of the parliamentary parties and the Ad-Hoc Commission on Electoral Reform, where he addresses a reminder on some issues of the preparation and administration of the elections, as well as Electoral Code.
In Celibashi’s letter, the political parties are reminded that the vote of immigrants will not be realized if the Assembly of Albania does not fill the gaps in the Electoral Code regarding this vote recorded by the Constitutional Court.
Also, Celibashi says that the administration of elections at the second and third levels by certain election administrators, or selected only by political parties, has violated the technical standard of preparation and development of election processes, as well as trust in them.
