MP Enkelejd Alibeaj recounted in an interview with Report TV a conversation with former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Alibeaj says that he told Berisha to his face that he could not bring the DP to power. He recounted how Berisha left office and then ironically said that Berisha later returned to conquer him.
“There is no unity with the part that I represent with Berisha, with what he represents beyond the non-women, beyond the great three-year dispute, beyond the blows and the mudslinging and the positions that Berisha still holds towards the justice system, or the relationship he has created with his partners.
What is clear today, and this has been the position that I have held, is no longer an offer for Albanians. The old one cannot be an offer for Albanians, I told him to his face that he could not bring the DP to government. I remember that he left office at that time to come and conquer it later,” said Alibeaj.
