The Greek media have devoted a special article to the Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, whom they describe as the “pivot” of the confusion between the relations between Albania and Greece and the debt owed to the Greek company, “Actor”.

Newsbomb.gr raises questions about the ascent of Belinda Balluk as the number two of the government and the person who directs Infrastructure issues in Albania, while reminding her that the latter was a domestic helper in the Hellenic state.

“Many questions are raised by the rise of the beautiful and deputy prime minister Belinda Balluku, who before her new career worked in Greece as a domestic helper. Practically, a domestic helper became the number two of the Albanian government and Minister of Infrastructure and therefore commands the public affairs of the neighboring country”, writes Newsbomb.gr.

This article also mentions the arrest of her right-hand man, the head of ARRSH, Evis Berberi, who is suspected of being involved in corruption and money laundering.

The Greek media also remember the episode of the Greek company, “Actor”, which won the French Arbitration in the case against the Albanian state, where the government owes a full 50 million euros.

In this article, Ballaku is also blamed for the fact that he asked the Greek company to speed up the works, but when the latter fulfilled Ballaku’s demands, the latter did not pay them.
“This includes Balluku, where her right-hand man was arrested for money laundering, while she had asked the bosses (of the construction company) to speed up the construction of the project. But when the works were done, Balluku did not pay the amounts”, the article reads.

Greek media article

The name Belinda Balluku may not be very familiar to you, but in Albania it means a lot. The name of the Minister of Infrastructure and Deputy Prime Minister Edi Rama constitutes a crack in Albania’s stalemate. On March 13, SPAK, the Court against Corruption, arrested Evis Berberi, the head of the Albanian Road Authority and one of the most trusted associates of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy and Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku.

The accusation was related to construction projects and luxury tenders, which were won by Edi Rama’s chosen ones. According to the Albanian media, after a police raid, SPAK, the Anti-Corruption Court, arrested Evis Berberi, the head of the Albanian Road Authority.

The police arrested him together with two business associates (Valter Begaj and Ervis Lamajn), while large sums of money and paintings worth hundreds of thousands of euros were seized from his apartment. Evis Berberi was Minister Balluku’s right-hand man and was the one who was photographed next to her at all inspections and inaugurations of major road projects.

According to SPAK, Valter Begaj, owner of the NET – GROUP company, won 6 public tenders, the money from which he transferred through transactions to the DAAM company. The benefit seems to be 2.7 million euros.

NET-GROUP won these competitions, the money was transferred through transactions to the DAAM company. These actions have raised suspicions of money laundering activities. The SPAK investigation is reported to have started in recent weeks, focusing on the sale of DAAM. DAAM was bought by Berber at a very low price, sold multiple times, while ownership and management changed several times between businessmen.

There are suspicions of a fake transfer to avoid a conflict of interest as Berber was set to be appointed as an adviser to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. The entire scandal above has caused ‘tectonic’ shaking in Albania’s political scene.

Many questions are raised by the rise of the beautiful and deputy prime minister Belinda Balluku, who before her new career worked in Greece as a domestic helper. Practically, a domestic helper became the number two of the Albanian government and Minister of Infrastructure and therefore commands the public affairs of the neighboring country.

History

There is a lawsuit that the construction company ‘Actor’ has won from a French court, against the Albanian state, in the amount of 50 million euros, for which the Ministry of Justice and Foreign Affairs have not given the green light to execute it.

And somewhere in here Balluku is involved, where her right-hand man was arrested for money laundering, while she had asked the bosses (the seniors of the construction company) to speed up the construction of the project. But when the works were done, Balluku did not pay the amounts.

In other words, the company ‘Actor’ did the work, went to court, won 50 million euros, and Edi Rama’s chosen one “whistles” indifferently. But here are the hot ‘questions’:

-Who and why does not give the green light to Mr. Exarchou of the company ‘Actor’ to execute?

-What games are being played in the diplomatic background that prevent the payment of sums to a Greek company that has won legally?

-Who does the Albanian state cover?

– What does Athena know about these cases and what will she do?

Will it continue to ‘hiss’ indifferently?
