After the dismissal of the director of the Saranda Cadastre, Aida Demi, the police have arrived at this institution and are conducting checks for documents as part of an investigation.
It is learned that checks are also being carried out in Demi’s properties.
The reason for the dismissal is suspected to have been a violation of the provisions in force during the exercise of functional duties, and it comes a day after an investigative show denounced the fact that her family has benefited from land that used to be a sea.
“The hotel by the sea, built by Aida Demi’s family on a plot of land purchased through the privatization process in 1992, swallowed a significant part of the seashore, a part that was filled with inerts and returned to the ground.
With a sales contract on July 5, 2019, the Ministry of Finance sold it to the Demi family, turning the sea into land. After only 4 days, the Demi family received the ownership certificate not for the 600 m2 they bought, but for 1325 m2.
Then, in the years 2020 and 2021 and 2022, Aida Demi’s family received several permits for the construction of a new facility and additional floors for the existing facility. The show “Stop” has learned that Aida Demi has legalized two floors of an object without permission, for which there was a demolition order from the Municipality and INUK”, it was said in the investigative show “Stop”.
