Agron Shehaj, founder of the “Opportunity” party, was invited to the show “The Unexposed” on MCN TV, where he spoke about his political project.
Shehaj was asked by journalist Andi Tela, how his party is financed. He stated that he finances it with his own money.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Andi Tela: Where is this “Opportunity” party financed? We have seen forces being created that say they fund people, donate, etc. What about you, are you the main financier yourself?
Agron Shehaj: I am the only financier at the moment.
Andi Tela: So you will invest your money from business in politics?
Agron Shehaj: No, it is not an investment, but a contribution. I’m making a contribution.
Andi Tela: It is an investment to gain power. A party doesn’t just need the first day to live. So you will go to cities, etc.
Agron Shehaj: I finance it with my own money. I will reach out and ask for more money to contribute. If there are no others, I will try my best.
Andi Tela: At the moment are you alone in this story?
Agron Shehaj: We were a group of 3-4 people and we made the decision. I made the initiative public. We called on social networks to join us, we received thousands of requests to become members. We did a tour and then we did the Convention, we founded the party. It’s not my way of doing things to seduce someone. I also had discussions with well-known figures and other MPs. I said I am doing this, these are the values and this is the goal.
