The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dashnor Sula, has stated that the leader of the opposition in Albania is former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Sula said that they are together in the opposition against the ‘Rama’ government, even though they share different positions on some issues. Likewise, Sula said the rest of the opposition, led by the chief democrat Lulzim Basha, does not confront the government, but stands idly by, because according to him, they are sold out.
“Many things unite us and very little separates us. We are united by our opposition to the majority and this government. I congratulate all those MPs who are rebels in spirit and react. We denounce the corruption, the problem and we are not appreciated and the one who stays at home and sleeps is appreciated, is this the logic? Of course there are problems, but they will be overcome. I do not change my positions as long as I am clear in my head how the opposition should act, how the opposition should be contoured and how we should go to the 2025 elections.
For me, the leader of the opposition is Mr. Berisha, despite the fact that I do not share the same position with Berisha. But he has the majority. But since I do not agree with Berisha, this does not prevent me from being in opposition”, said Sula.
