Renowned columnist Artan Hoxha and Elton Qyno have been placed under security measures, reports lapsi.al
Hoxha has been placed under house arrest, while Qyno has been placed under “house arrest” and is under “compulsory reporting” orders.
The details of this decision are still unknown, but it is not ruled out that they are related to their work as journalists.
Artan Hoxha is one of the most well-known names in investigative journalism in Albania, known for his writings but also his statements regarding many criminal groups, hitmen and the publication of materials on cocaine trafficking from Latin America, where he has personally been several times.
Elton Qyno has also appeared several times at SPAK, and his mobile phone has been seized, after being questioned about several publications on issues related to Nuredin Dumani’s testimonies.
