The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has gathered his government since yesterday morning (January 9) in Shengjin, while the informal meeting will continue today.

The meeting was hermetic, with journalists not allowed in the private facility.

Recently, it was the Prime Minister himself who, through a post on “Facebook”, shared some images from the meeting, where he announced the goals of this meeting, which are the priority of this year in the parliament, government and party.

One of the issues discussed and the objectives that Prime Minister Rama decided for his own is to find a way to cooperate with individuals or parliamentary groups in parliament, for laws that require a qualified majority.

Together with the PSD, the socialists cannot reach 84 votes to make constitutional changes, as in the case of approving the amnesty for convicts that failed at the end of last year. In the conditions where the opposition is fighting to block the sessions, the SP has directed the leaders of the group to try to find factions of the opposition where there can be room for cooperation.

Meanwhile, even though it takes more than a year from the next election, Prime Minister Rama has put his own people in front of his responsibility, demanding an account for the activity they have had, starting from the parliament, the party structures and the electorate. Among other things, the socialists have received orientations for their activity in the Parliament, in the conditions of the blockade by the opposition.

From this meeting that will continue today, it is not yet known if there will be a division between “the best and the worst among the socialists”, where the reference is said to be the activity they have had in Parliament and the impact on public of deputies.
