Azgan Mërrnica, pointed the gun at the left eye of the police officer Novruz Cenalia, shooting only once in a surprising way, which brought his immediate death.
The distance of the murder was small, while the serious crime took place in the presence of the four main witnesses of this event, Ledion Shara, Hermes Shara, Cen Qelia and the mother of the perpetrator of the crime, Ajete Mërnica.
“Ora News” has learned that on the day of the crime on May 13, 2024, Azgani, together with his mother Ajete Mërnica, had gone to the city of Fier to buy food and other products in the area called “Zogu i Zi”, for her son Kirin, who was in prison for attempted murder against the citizen, Pashk Palnikaj.
As they finished shopping, Ajetja, together with her son Azgan, left for their village. The vehicle was driven by Azgani, who did not have a driver’s license.
But as they went to the turn of the Baltëz village, Azgan Mërnica had a conflict with Novruz Cenalian, who was going to Fier to take up the service as an employee of the Fier Police Directorate.
For this serious incident, Hermes Sharra was questioned, who was present at the scene and stated that:
“…around 1:00 pm I was at the shop where my uncle’s son, Ledion Sharra, works together with Ledion and Cen Qelia. The shop is located in the village of Baltëz at the place called “tek kftesa” in Baltëz and we were drinking there I was sitting outside the store with them, with my back to the street and facing the store, and at this moment I saw Novruz Cenalia coming with his “Benz” type vehicle and at this moment he was approaching us at speed, a black vehicle of the “Audi A3″ type, which was also with black windows. The moment Novruzi greeted us, I raised my hand and I greet him…” Hermes Sharra told the police.
He continued with his testimony, confessing that as he greeted Novruz, the author’s vehicle “Audi A3” arrived quickly and cut the road for Novruz at the turn, who stopped the car and hit the fountain at the same time. The author moves away a few meters, stopping the vehicle on the left side of the store.
“… at this moment, I noticed the driver of the vehicle, who gets out of the Audi A3 and curses Novruz with dirty words and at the same time puts his hand into the black bag he was hanging around his neck, pulling out a type weapon pistol, which he charges with both hands, loading it, and then holding the pistol forward with one hand, pointing from Nowruz. Novruzi opens the door of the vehicle, gets out of his vehicle and addresses the author with the words: “…why did you get in so badly…” But the author continued to insult and threaten Novruzi with his gun. Novruzi was dressed in a red and blue police uniform and addressed the author with the words: “…why are you insulting me…” and when the two approached each other, they pushed each other with their hands and insulting each other. dirty.
In these moments, the Novruzi police officer tries to grab his hand, where the perpetrator was holding the weapon with which he was pointing at him, and his hand was held down, to the weapon where it was placed in the holster, and at one point he took out the weapon, which kept it down without ever addressing the author.
“…because of this situation at this moment, Cen Qalia and a woman who got out of the author’s vehicle “Audi A3” approached them, who addressed him with the words: “…damn you, mom, come here…”, ” …O Azgan, don’t do it, don’t do it, O Azgan, let’s go…”. He did not speak to his mother at all and continued threatening Novruz. At these moments, Azgani points the pistol close to Novruz’s eyes and fires the gun in a surprising way. Novruzi immediately fell to the ground, while the perpetrator together with his mother left with his vehicle, towards the village of Hamil-Sulaj…” Hermes Sharra told the Fier police.
The same dynamic of the event was shown to the police by the other witness, Cen Qalia, who, as he approached the two people who were in conflict, addressed the perpetrator of the crime, saying:
“…take that gun away because it’s not a toy…”.
