Ismail Kadare, the colossus of Albanian literature, has passed away at the age of 88. There are many reactions in his honor which sadly say goodbye to him. Among them is that of the journalist Blendi Fevziu, who considers Kadare as the most important intellectual that Albania has produced in its history.
Fevziu proposed through a post on social networks that Kadare be buried next to the brothers Frashëri, Faik Konica and Mit’hat Frashëri in the cemetery of honor in the hills of Lake Tirana.
“Ismail Kadare is the most important intellectual that Albania has produced in its history. The most famous Albanian in the world and undoubtedly, as the international press writes, one of the greatest intellectuals of the 20th century. He should be buried on the altar of prominent people, next to the Frashëri Brothers, Faik Konica and Mit’hat Frashëri, in the cemetery of honor in the Lake Hills of Tirana”, he wrote.
