The next day, Tuesday, February 20, the opposition has called a protest against the government and the rally is expected to start at 5:30 PM in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
It is learned that in the protest, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who is under house arrest, will be “present” through a video message, which will either be given live or recorded.
It is also learned that the opposition has received permission from the police for about 5 hours to hold the protest.
We remind you that during the morning of today, the police announced the plan of measures for the success of the gathering.
1,100 police officers will be engaged for the protest, starting from those of the order, FNSH, the Eagles and the Guard of the Republic, while RENEA will be on standby. There will also be water tankers, while a cordon of police officers has been announced in front of the prime minister’s office and the perimeter around it.
The doors of the Prime Minister’s Office will be armored with metal cladding, while high-resolution cameras have been installed along the entire boulevard ‘Dëshmorët e Kombit’.
