Valentina Arrazi, the sister-in-law of the late Alma Arrazi, appeared at the Shkodra prosecutor’s office at 09:55.
She has been called again by the prosecutor Ledion Tema to testify about the last meeting with Alma Arraz and her 3 children, as she was the last one to see them alive.
Here is her testimony:
“We went out to drink a coffee together with Alma and our children at a bar on the pedestrian street of Molo at the entrance to the city of Shkodra. I loved Alma very much, she loved me, and the children went very well, so we went out as usual with each other. On the way before we arrived I stopped at a market to buy something and Alma waited for me outside. When I came out, Alma told me that Erdgysi had driven by with his girlfriend and that he had seen them.
I haven’t seen Erdgys because I was at the market, but Alma told me that he had passed. We continued the road and sat down in the cafe. The children were playing and Alma and I talked a little about her relationship with Erdgysi. Then we continued with other conversations and around 20:10 we left there.
Alma told me earlier that her brother would come to pick her up by taxi and that she would go to her family in Durrës until she and her husband were clarified. He told me that Erdgysi was aware that he was going to leave and we parted.”
A month ago, Alma had been to her family in Durrës because of the arguments they may have had. Despite the situation, Alma asked Edgysi to go and get her and that she had forgiven him for dating another girl with the hope that he would leave her to continue with his family. Erdgysi went and got it since she had asked for it. The fact that he left his family a month ago did not make me doubt that such a serious thing that Alma did. If I had known that Alma was going to drown with the children, I would have screamed in the middle of the bar and I would never have left her, but I didn’t know because she simply told me that her brother would take her.”
“After Alma left, I took out my phone and told my husband that I didn’t have internet and that I was going home. After I told him that I was without internet, I followed the road all the way home”.
“I told my husband when I left home that Alma was going to her family in Durrës. Erdgysi also found out that he was going to Durrës. After almost two hours we communicated with Alma’s sister and she told us that she had not gone there. This made us suspicious and our whole family went out in cars looking everywhere in the streets of the city if Alma could be found anywhere, but we could not find him anywhere. We asked and asked a lot the next day, May 3, but no one confirmed anything until Erdgysi went to the police and reported the loss of her and her three children.”
The prosecution doubts the authenticity of the testimony that was given the first time by the sister-in-law, which is why it was called a second time. Valentina Arrazi appeared at the prosecutor’s office accompanied by relatives of the Arrazi family.
The entire Albanian society was shocked a few weeks ago, after Alma Arrazi, together with her three minor children, drowned in the Buna river.
Erdgys Arrazi’s husband was arrested for this event, accused of pushing Alma to commit suicide, since he had an extramarital affair with a 17-year-old girl.
