This Saturday, the diaspora registration process opens to vote in the parliamentary elections on May 11, where for the first time immigrants will have the opportunity to vote from the country where they work and live.

The application is available in various forms, first from the official website of the Election Commission, but can also be downloaded as an application on the phone.

Regarding registration, a correct phone number and e-mail address are required and then a password is created that has 8 characters.

To activate the registration, the CEC sends a 6-digit code via email or phone number to activate it.

It is worth noting that the applicant must have a camera phone because it records the face and this is part of the process.

After the registration is complete, the applicant goes out to register again, after scanning the passport or identity card and other documents, the authorities have 3 days to respond if it is valid.

Once the registration is successful, he is removed from the voter list and included in the final list, in what will be called the diaspora voter list.

The ballot will be sent by mail to the exact address that the applicant has provided and has been verified, and he will then return it by mail.

Immigrants who want to participate in the spring elections have until March 4 to register on the CEC’s online website.
