The Central Election Commission has approved the decision to send 16 candidates for deputies for the May 11 elections to the General Prosecutor’s Office for verification.
Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi said that sending them to the General Prosecutor’s Office for an in-depth verification does not necessarily presuppose that any of them may be under detention.
“The declarations they have made are a legal reason for us to continue with this procedure,” said Celibashi.
