A denunciation came from a citizen on the morning show ‘Zbardhi’ on Zjarr Televizione.
According to the citizen, an unprecedented event occurred a few days ago at the ‘Asllan Rusi’ sports palace in Tirana.
The citizen, who was a fan at the basketball match between Vllazënië and Beslidhje, says that the mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, physically clashed with one of the federation’s leaders, Franko Bushati.
A reaction also came from the Albanian Basketball Federation, which briefly describes the incident, does not mention the name of the perpetrator but condemns acts of violence in sports.
“Bushati, during the break of the first semi-final match, valid for the play-off phase of the men’s championship, between Besëlidhja and Vllaznia, was physically and verbally attacked by the managers and financiers of the Besëlidhja club”, the FSHB statement states.
The citizen also cites that when they returned after the break of the first half, numerous police forces had checked the personal belongings of the fans.
The Zjarr Televizione staff also had a communication with the mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, to give his version of the event.
But Ndreu responded arrogantly and with shouting, without giving any explanation regarding the incident.
