During yesterday evening and during this morning (January 7-8) the south-east of the country was covered by snowfall.
It is known that the road segment Shtyllë-Panarit has snowed throughout the night and continues to fall.
Intensive work has been done in this area to prevent it from getting blocked, since yesterday the snow reached a thickness of 50 cm, while during the early hours of the morning it added another 10 cm.
Two fire trucks have been sent to this area to clear the road, which can only be crossed with chains.
In the Boboshtica Dardhë segment, there was snowfall during the night, while the thickness went up to 5 cm.
The snowplows have been on the ground for cleaning and salting, and there are no problems in this axis in terms of vehicle traffic, but drivers must show extra care and must equip their vehicles with winter tires.
In other villages such as Voskopoja or Vithkuqi, there was snowfall with a thickness ranging from 2 to 5 cm.
According to the authorities, the passage in these areas is done without chains, but winter tires are recommended.
Even in the area of Malqi, the deep mountain villages were engulfed by the snowfall.
The connecting road Lozhan-Moglice was also affected by the rains, in which work was done both during the evening and during this morning for cleaning and salting, currently the traffic is normal on this road, but the drivers must show increased caution and be equipped with winter tires.
Meanwhile, even in Devoll, snowfall was recorded in the villages on the edge of Morava, more in Arrze and Sinicë with a thickness of 2 to 5 cm.
Currently the axles are open and pass without chains.
