The municipality of Shkodra announced that it will undergo a transformation in its structure that will be accompanied by job cuts. The news is announced by the mayor of Shkodër, Benet Beci, who underlines that it is about people who receive a salary without providing services.
According to him, specialists have analyzed the situation and have come to the conclusion that people are employed in the Municipality of Shkodra who in fact do not make any contribution.
“The structure of the municipality, especially in the dependent institutions, had many duplicated positions and specialists who only had their names on the salary slips, but did not offer any services to the residents of Shkodra.
Of course, it is not easy to cut jobs. We are all aware of this. But we cannot continue to pay salaries to people who do not make any contribution to the development of our municipality. The citizens of Shkodra do not have the luxury of paying taxes from their incomes earned through hard work and sacrifices for any redundant employee in the municipality,” he writes.
According to the mayor of Shkodra, only people who serve with professionalism have been selected, who will continue to work in this municipality.
