The head of the opposition group, Gazment Bardhi, will gather the democratic deputies a few hours before the start of the announced protest today.
Opposition MPs will gather at 12:00 in the group hall.
“Dear colleagues, tomorrow, Monday, at 12:00, we will hold a meeting of the parliamentary group, in the group hall. Thank you!”, it is written in the message that the head of the Group sent to the deputies.
Meanwhile, the democrats will hold the first protest for this year at 17:00 in front of the Parliament against the socialist majority, which, according to them, is violating the constitutional rights of the opposition.
Sources close to “Reestablishment” clarify that the protest will take place outside the hall of plenary sessions, while the deputies will protest inside the Assembly trying to block the meeting. However, the number of opposition MPs allowed to participate in the session is smaller, as 19 of them have been expelled.
The meeting of the Parliament will focus only on discussions about the citizens’ problems and there are no laws to be approved, and in the conditions where the opposition will block the floor, it is expected that the session will last only a few minutes.
Afterwards, the deputies who recognize as the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, will join the protesters outside the premises of the Parliament and around 18:00 it is expected that the democrats will move to the street near the house of the opposition leader Berisha, who from December 30 is under house arrest.
