Prime Minister Edi Rama conducted a special interview with the former deputy of the Democratic Party and analyst Mark Marku.
The well-known teacher has avoided personal interviews in the media for a long time, but this time he accepted Edi Rama’s invitation to share details of his personal life.
Edi Rama has apologized to Mark Mark for making fun of his name during the election campaign, while the former PD deputy has shown the origin of his name.
“Now I owe you an apology for a reason that does not make me proud today and even more so that you have honored me with your presence here, but I apologize before I ask the question: At a moment of barricades during the last campaign, make no mistake, you were a candidate in Lezha and I said your name Mark Marku at the rally in Lezha, but with a certain irony that does not make me proud today”, addressed Prime Minister Rama.
During the interview, the analyst revealed the fact that there are 108 Mark Pjetër Marku in civil status. While he also recounted a special episode when he was stopped at the border because another person named Mark Marku was convicted of murder and wanted by law enforcement.
“This has caused me a problem once. There was a wanted person named Mark Pjeter Marku, who had committed a crime, he was from Miředita, he had committed a crime in ’97 there on the road going to Fushë-Arrëz, he was wanted. They used to say to me when I was passing through customs, like that, – You are wanted! But, because they know me, they didn’t stop me”, former MP Marku confessed.
