The head of the DP, Sali Berisha, has left open the possibility that his daughter, Argita Malltezi, will run in the parliamentary elections of 2025.
In a media conference from house arrest, Berisha said that he does not know if Argita Malltezi has this ambition, but he emphasized that if she wants, the primaries are open.
“Will you be on the open or closed list and will Argita Malltezi run?” Berisha was asked in the video conference.
“To tell the truth in every list for me is the same and I have no impression. As for Argita Malltezi, it is not decided by me, but by her, if she wants, the primaries are open. But I don’t know if he has any ambition or not,” said the chief democrat.
Sali Berisha, who was indicted by SPAK for the “Partizani” file under the charge of passive corruption, was also asked if there is a plan “B” for the Democratic Party if he is convicted by GJKKO.
He hinted that he will not withdraw as he said that the attempt to usurp the Democratic Party will fail.
“About two years ago, Rama e Balla organized an assassination attempt on me in the middle of the day. In the corridors of these criminals, it was said that these are the last hours of Sali Berisha, I continued the rally without any plan B.
