Actor Mehdi Malkaj spoke at the opposition protest in front of Tirana City Hall.
Malkaj called on the policemen to join the people and protest. He said that “the police can beat him, but they have to be careful, since he comes from an operation”.
Malkaj also criticized the central and local government in Tirana.
Mehdi Malkaj: Police officers. You are there to serve the citizens and not to protect thieves. Police, I understand your plight that you will support your families. But a little protest is also needed.
One of you policemen should come out and deal with the people. You can beat me too, but I’m afraid I won’t be caught because I’ve had an operation. People sometimes protest with themselves, and not with everyday injustice. We must protest.
