Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke today about today’s hearing against Sali Berisha and Jamarbë Malltez, where they were put under house arrest.
Invited to the show “The Unexposed” on MCN TV, Hoxha said that SPAK can keep Berisha locked in the apartment until the 2025 elections, thus hitting the opposition. The journalist said that investigations into the case of the former Partizani Complex are continuing and Malltez’s financial resources are being verified.
“It seemed as if the entire new structure of justice had the Berisha family as its epicenter. Berisha was also yesterday to give statements. Today was the Appeal session for the security measure. The decision of the first instance was upheld, that Mr. Berisha will continue to remain under house arrest. These are security measures, which should either be implemented, or not implemented at all, to become ridiculous. Today, Berisha destroyed Duman, piece by piece. There are really deadlines when you are investigated by a security measure and it forces you to take the file to court. But the prosecutor has the right to ask for a deadline extension. The prosecutor can keep you there for another 2 years, even the elections come and go…
The judicial police continued to take actions related to the Partizani case. They are dealing with other verifications, with how this project was financed. Where did the money to finance the construction of the 17 towers come from? Secondly, how has this money moved, have fiscal obligations been paid, is there any other company that may have committed violations, have taken over the economic activity of Mr. Malltezi and the company in which he is a shareholder.
