The former director of the MEICO company, Ylli Pinari, after testifying at the GJKO in a statement for the media outside the court, has stated that the Armed Forces and contracting companies are responsible for the serious events of Gërdec.
According to Pinari, FA and the company do not apply the rules that are companies in the agreement.
“The explosion is the creation of the Armed Forces. They have not performed any of the tasks that were written to them, the minister’s decisions and orders. For me, it is what should be applied in relation to the operator that should be regulated in the contract”, he declared.
He further added that “MEICO” had the duty to take over and deliver the munition.
“MEICO had the duty to take over and deliver the contract, that’s all. The status of MEICO is a property that the interests of the owner of the goods, which were the Armed Forces, delivered the goods and all collections of lek to the state budget”, Ylli Pinari declared outside GJKKO.
