Former US envoy for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Grenell, does not share the attacks on Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, even though only 48 hours later Kosovo will vote for the new Parliament and these reactions of his can very well be considered interference in the elections.
In a reaction on social networks, Grenell responds to a statement made by Kurti during a television show, where he states that he is delusional.
According to Grenell, relations between Kosovo and the US have never been at their lowest level.
“Albin Kurti has been condemned by the first Trump administration, the Biden administration, NATO, the EU, the US Embassy, Antony Blinken,” Grenell writes.
A day earlier, the leader of Kosovo insisted that cooperation is excellent with the United States, mentioning here the work to strengthen the KSF through the purchase of American weapons.
“We have never had better things, we are also buying ‘Black Hawk’ helicopters, after the Javelin anti-tank system. “The largest grant Kosovo has ever received from America during our mandate is from the Millennium Challenge Corporation for batteries. We have cooperation not only politically, but also in defense and development. There are sometimes criticisms and remarks, but we must move forward,” the prime minister declared to a local television station.
