The husband of 41-year-old Bedrie Loka, who poisoned herself with phostoxin after the New Year, has been arrested by the Durrës police. There are doubts that Xhemal Loka pushed his wife to commit suicide.
The latter lived in exile in Greece and returned home on December 27, together with their eldest son, for the New Year holidays.
The couple were parents of 4 children, three boys and one girl, and their testimonies were key in solving the incident, where they showed that the parents had conflicts.
The husband of the deceased also hid his phone, while the police also found an assault rifle.
From the in-depth investigations, it turned out that the 45-year-old has psychologically abused his wife continuously. It is learned that the 45-year-old man, when he returned from Greece, threatened to kill his wife with a knife, in the presence of one of the children. For this case, citizen Bedrie Loka did not report to the Police.
This cell phone, together with Bedrie Loka’s cell phone, were sent for examination in order to find evidence to document the circumstances and cause of the event. Following the in-depth actions, a series of other procedural actions were carried out in order to fully document the cause that forced Bedrie Loka to consume poisonous substances.
Testimony of the husband, Xhemal Loka
Xhemal Loka stated in the testimony given to the police that his wife has had stress and anxiety recently. According to him, the wife Bedrie Loka may have committed the act of suicide after about a year ago unidentified persons opened an address on the TikTok social network with her name, an event for which the victim had also filed a criminal complaint.
Xhemal Loka stated that the night before the event, his wife was fine and had no worries. He has shown that they spent the evening in order celebrating the New Year, but according to him, the woman had been showing concerns for a long time as she could not cope with the derogatory photos of her published on TikTok.
Xhemail Loka testified that on the morning of January 2 he went and saw his wife lying on the floor in the living room, in the middle of the house.
With his brother’s vehicle, they transported her to the Durrës Regional Hospital Emergency Room, where the doctors informed her that she had consumed photosensitivity. After that, they sent the ambulance to QSUT for more specialized treatment, where she was placed in intensive care, but due to her serious health condition, she died.
