FROM ARDIT BIDO
Dear Flag,
This August, thankfully, has found me healthy in terms of health, but by chance I started the month by writing to a doctor, Vangjeli, and now I am continuing it by writing to another doctor, you. I am writing to both of you about Himara, not in medical matters, because this inflation of doctors does not live in Himara, but it may have annoyed Dr. Jani that neither you, nor he, nor the city want to take his place because he has a life that serves Himara, but for matters of local conjunctures.
When I spoke in the media before the elections, I wanted that proud province of Labëria, where, yes, there are also three villages where residents with Greek self-identification live, to prosper as the local residents deserve and instead return to the battle between Vorio-Epirotism and normality. to return for the first time to the discussion on the problems of the residents. Do you know why? Because those who already go to the resorts of millionaires, or those who play in the crystal sea and get drunk in clubs in the wonderful summer of the Albanian Riviera, talk a lot about Himara, and think that having a house down there by the sea and not up there May the village, are experts in the area. If I’m talking about those, who Belerist theses reflect as Albanians, they manage to talk only with the local rich people who are either Belerists or the rich people of Tirana, and have never set foot in the villages of the area.
At this point, no matter how much I tried to speak about the righteous protest of the nivicjots and shevasjots, lukovars and borshjots, qeparotas and kudzhjots, vunjotas and pilurjots, kuchjots and vranishjots, I did not succeed because, unfortunately, you had decided in advance that you would lose this race, crushing the right vote in that municipality.
More or less I think what you can tell me: we got a little less than Beller’s votes. And in fact it is not like that. Maybe you know, but I’m saying it for anyone who doesn’t know, that the right-wing strongholds in the Himar Municipality were Piluri, Borshi and Lukova, that you managed to lose all three, repeating the scenario of PD’s self-destruction in the unit administrative Himarë, as a calk in the whole municipality now.
For some not-so-distant history, which I really like to look at carefully, PD has been the patriotic force of Himara, founded on such strong foundations that it even won the municipality with Anesti Dhimojani. In the 7 villages of the Administrative Unit, until 2007 it was convincingly the first or second force. Today, it exists as a minor force, strongly behind the SP and PBDNJ and this as a programmed self-destruction when the patriotic force of the area began to cooperate under the rug with OMONIA. You had shown it earlier, since in 2003, Fredi Beleri appeared as the opposition commissioner in Pilur, where you still had the overwhelming majority of votes, and you revealed it convincingly after 2007, when you absurdly decided to cross the rainbow. Where are you today? Where are the Gjokaj, Todhr, Gjichal, Prifti, Čipaj, Jabaq, Kushte, Lejat, Merkur, who were the founders of DP? You have them on the left, not because they have become leftists, but because they cannot stay with the right, which at the national level is on the right and at the local level flirts with Vorio-Epirotism. And this is your second self-destruction in that area, since since the 2000s, you had decided your self-destruction in Xarrë Administrative Unit, where there are only Albanians and less than 10% Greeks, and suddenly you gave the local PD PBDNJ, expelling Mano and Kote, Rubie and Gremo, the founders of PD not only in Xarrë, but also in Saranda.
No lesson was learned from the first senseless mistake in Xarrë, no lesson was learned from the second senseless mistake in NJA Himarë, is this the third truth? Let’s take a look at the votes. In Borsh, once the bastion of the right, as your colleague in politics and mine at the university, Agroni, wrote, the door of your local elected from that village was broken. Because you can’t even go to the offices where Spiromilo’s photo reigns and ask for votes in the village that was burned by Spiromilo.
In Lukovo, the former bastion of the right, you lost convincingly for the first time. Worse than just losing, the local exponents turned their backs. And here there is no one who knows the area who does not see the repetition of the NJA Himare scenario. NJA Lukovë, where DP always won easily, is seeing that the founders of the local DP are crossing the rainbow, not because they want to, not because they like the current majority, not because they are not oppositionists, but because they felt over the years, what NJA Himarë felt on the back of 2007, that the double rhetoric of Belerism was not used as opposition for their right issues, but was used for Vorio-Epirotism. I remind you here that this is the first time that NJA Lukovë faced this challenge, as in the period 2007-2011, when Vorio-Epirotism played with you at the expense of local identity, it was a separate municipality, convincingly right-wing, and not 70% left-wing like today.
And where did Gjikuria win, except for the bastions of the Greek vote in the area, which are Himara village and Gjileka, where businesses flourish and government pressure could be simple, but it doesn’t drink water, because pressure doesn’t drink water in that area? He won in the left-wing Kudhasi, in the left-wing Saint Vasili and in Nivica, which used to vote left. He won but with a narrow margin and not like in every other village where the vote went over 70% for each of the two sides that voted for protests against Vorio-Epirotism in 15 villages and in favor of it in two villages. So he won in three villages that have vital issues that this majority does not fulfill. Do you know that if the opposition candidate was a normal candidate, whether it was Afrovita from the family who has shown that he gets votes, or Vladimiri from Nivica who has shown that he gets votes, you would count them on your fingers in Nivica and Saint Vasil e Kudha votes for the majority? Do you know that Lukova would stand convincingly on the right and Borshi would be a head-to-head battle? Do you know that Vunoi, Piluri and Qeparoi who suffer for water and Iliasi and Çorraj who have no roads would give you spectacular votes?
I bet that the cousins of Andi Bushati in Tërbac would listen to their cousin and vote to the right, because it would be a normal vote related to the problems that Andi raises from the beach of Gjileka and Palasa, and not a vote against the arsonists of Tërbac of Kallarat that Andi does not see that he is in agreement with the alliance of the rich people of Tirana and Belerism and the whole of Himara seems to be a Gjileka, without seeing that over 85% of Albanians in the municipality are against this alliance.
Dear Flag,
The opposition votes that Gjikuria received are only 20% of his, of which 15% are the votes of self-identified Greek residents of Himara, which I also believe we should uncomplex and accept, and 5% of the votes brought by the imbalance of bus behavior this time by Greek political nationalism. But be careful, decomplex does not mean sale, but acceptance. It does not mean that we deny that, in the city of Himara, at least over 30% (and in fact over 50%) Albanians, in the municipality with over 85% Albanians, in the republic where Albanian is the only official language, Albanian prevails and not you can go out and close the campaign in front of a Greek only banner. Do you realize how lost you are now? De-complexion cannot mean taking the picture of the leaders of the non-minority and non-Himarian but Cretan mercenaries who burned Borshi and Kallarat and the grandson of the one who burned Hundëçova. But to meet Gjon Kastrioti, who led the battle for the liberation of the wooded areas from Himara, and to know that less than 15% of the municipality speak another language, Greek, which should not even be a problem.
The problem is that the other 20% votes are no longer yours. Because there are no more PD structures in the area, as PD exponents worked against Vorio-Epirotism. The question is, what will you do if your political opponents will not betray the message of these elections and bring back those who rightfully protested and voted for you not as a vote for you but as a message vote for your opponents?
What is the use of standing by Vorio-Epirotism when it didn’t even help the local residents in their troubles as I never heard of Kakome and Krorëz in the media, water supply and roads, which I at least personally mention in every outing and neither do you electorally as the vote turned into a protest against Vorio-Epirotism and protest against the majority, with self-destruction of the traditional PD in the area?
How is it possible to work against yourself by undoing yourself one after the other in Xarra, Himarë and now Lukovë, once your strongholds, hoping that the rightists will vote left, but those who are dissatisfied leftists will “become” rightists? The latter can vote for you, once for Beler, once for another force, and finally for SP again, based on the messages they give and depending on whether their problems are resolved or not, but they will never become an electoral base as they were the ones who will not return to you if you continue to remain as a stateless right in the deep south and sovereignist in national rhetoric.
Dear Flag,
The fault is not yours, take away the mistakes that bother me and I would never be under a banner only in Greek and under a photo of the arsonists and murderers of Albanians, I call the rest simply ignorance of the area. What you do with DP self-destruction in that area is up to you.
I wrote you only because I feel bad that my lepers on the coast of Kurveleshara are not given space to talk about Kakome and Krorëz, or the Borshi promenade, or Çorraj, Kudhesi and Iliasi streets, or the water supply from anywhere except Himara, a city that is new but who still does not vote for either SP or PD, or for the irrigation of the bus of Vranishti, Tërbaç, Kallarat, Bolena and Kuçi.
I wrote to you because you trampled the pride of Himara together by turning a municipality with more than 85% Albanians into an issue of Albanians and Greeks. to mistakenly think that the Greek minority, who are brothers with us in that area, is provocative, as was the spiromilism of Beler and Gjikuria, in front of whose banners you appeared only in Greek.
For the rest, we have time. We are all transients. Doctor Jani will be Himara’s only doctor again.
