The member of the presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi, has spoken about the recent arrests of important figures of the opposition.
He emphasized that these arrests constitute a clear message for politicians who dare to denounce the affairs of the majority.
Kelliçi said that the arrest of former president Ilir Meta is a signal for all the opposition, including MPs like Gazment Bardhi and others who criticize the system.
“This show is a clear message not only for Ilir Meta, but for every oppositionist. It is also a message for me, who denounces the affairs of Tirana Municipality every day, it is also a message for Gaz Bardhi, and for every deputy of the Democratic Party who attacks the majority.
It is for Meta, and for Berisha, and for Salianj, who is in prison today. It shows that it hits anyone who denounces.
Having said that, if we had a normal arrest of Mr. Meta, it would be in his shame that he would have made these reactions without reason”, said Kelliçi.
