Former Socialist Party MP Arta Dade, with a long political career in the country, although she is no longer part of any party structure, has not left her passion for politics in the shade.
In an interview for “Aldo Morning Show”, Dade spoke about her acquaintance with politician Belind Këlliçi and the advice she gave him in his early days in politics. The former Foreign Minister says that she encouraged Belind to get involved in politics, but now she also has observations about the way he is practicing this activity.
Referring here to frequent meetings with young people who are passionate about politics, Arta Dade says that she always advises them not to follow or idolize examples of old politics, who no longer have anything to give to Albania.
“I will give you a case now with Belind Këlliçi, who my children grew up with because we were neighbors. Before he got involved in politics, we had a conversation and of course I encouraged him to get involved in politics.
I knew he would go to the Democratic Party because I know that both his parents and family were supporters of the DP, there was no connection. Maybe this has to do with the fact that we were neighbors with him, it was a coincidence. In fact, I also meet young people from the DP. I have met them and encouraged them because the more young people there are in all political forces, the better it will be for the country.
We are talking about those young people who have a passion for politics, they do not have the old models as a model, which they should reject, and this was one of the criticisms that I had for Belind Këlliçi, because when a young man comes to politics, he can no longer behave with those models of old leaders who no longer have anything to bring to Albania”, Arta Dade expressed.
