Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi has indicated that the health condition of his colleague, Lefter Geshtenja, is stable.
Korreshi indicated that Geshtenja had left the Assembly hall in the corridor after having breathing problems due to a herniated disc.
“He has been undergoing therapy for a herniated disc for a long time. Today he is completely blocked. We suspected that he was having a heart attack and was immediately transported to the QSUT. His condition is stable. There is nothing wrong with his heart, according to the doctors.
It is pain from a shock that transforms into breathing. He fainted and collapsed from severe pain. At that time he was in the corridor because he was not feeling well with his breathing, at the door as soon as he left the plenary session,” Korreshi told News24.
Among other things, the democrat emphasized that there were nurses in the Assembly, but it was his colleagues who held him by the arms due to the severe pain he was experiencing.
“There is always an ambulance there, but at that moment we had nowhere to position him because the pain was so severe that he could neither sit nor stand. There were nurses, but I will not say how it happened, it was such a quick situation”, added Korreshi.
Democratic MP, Lefter Geshtenja was taken to the QSUT on Thursday morning. He felt unwell from a herniated disc while in the Parliament and was immediately transported to the hospital.
