Two Kosovo Albanians lost their lives in a tragic accident in Hungary in the early hours of Friday morning.

The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Kushtrim Hoxha from Prizren and his sister’s husband, Jetmir Rexhepi, about 30 years old, from the village of Celinë. They had left Germany for Kosovo, but the vehicle they were traveling in collided with a truck in Hungary and was engulfed in flames.

Shortly before the tragic accident, Kushtrim Hoxha had spoken with his cousin where he had sent him a message: “O man, don’t sleep because I’m coming”.

According to the uncle of the victim, Bashkim Hoxha, the 28-year-old had sent the message to his son 20 minutes before the accident happened.

“The accident, as the police said, happened somewhere around 01:15 at night, last night. They were going to Kosovo… 20 minutes before it happened to me, he wrote to my son ‘you man, don’t sleep because I’m arriving’. “Kushtrimi was born and grew up in Germany,” he said, reports Telegrafi.

Also, the 28-year-old’s uncle stated that Kushtrimi was taken to the hospital, but that he was unable to cope with the injuries, while his brother-in-law Jetmiri was burned inside the vehicle by the flames.

“Jetmir’s body has been burned, the family members must go to Hungary for his autopsy…”, he said.

Kushtrimi was the father of a four-month-old girl, while Jetmiri had a 1-year-old son.
