The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, through a post on social networks, has announced that PL has undertaken four initiatives to support pensioners in Albania.
The initiatives are related to the proposal of two amendments and two requests to the Constitutional Court.

4 Legal initiatives that the Freedom Party will undertake to support pensioners in Albania:
-Proposal of the Amendment to the pension law for a benefit in accordance with the amount of contribution of those employees who have contributed to the pension scheme in less than 15 years. Even if a citizen of the Republic of Albania has contributed to the pension scheme for 1 year, he must benefit for that year.
-Proposal of the Amendment to the pension law for a change in the calculation of the indexation of the amount of pensions considering the increase in the prices of food items.
– We will ask the Constitutional Court to rule on the violation of the pension law by the government for not indexing the amount of pensions in accordance with the relevant law.
– We will ask the Constitutional Court, after this judgment, for the full reimbursement of pensioners for the missing increase over the years in the period 2013-2023.
