Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his visit to Germany as part of the Global Security Summit, went to the offices of Tik Tok where he had a meeting with the deputy. General Director of the company Theo Bertram.
In a post on social networks, the head of the government writes that with Bertram he discussed the recent events in Albania and the need to increase vigilance against violence, blackmail and hate speech online.
In this meeting, Rama says that he is also familiar with the measures taken by the company to increase the level of moderation of messages in the Albanian language.
“In the offices of Tik Tok with the Deputy General Director of the company Theo Bertram, where we discussed with full understanding the recent events in Albania and the need to increase vigilance against violence, blackmail and hate speech online, as well as we got to know the measures being taken by the company to increase the level of moderation of messages in the Albanian language. It was a pleasure to be informed about the high level of awareness of the social giant Tik Tok, about the risks that threaten social networks and the company’s investments in facing and avoiding theirs”, writes Rama.
Rama is in Munich to participate in the Munich Security Conference (MSC), the most important global meeting of politicians and security policy experts that began today with the participation of dozens of heads of state, government and ministers.
