Yesterday evening, Arbër Çepani was invited to Top Story, but for an event that no one would ever want to see and hear him talk about.
He spoke about the death of his brother, suddenly after a cardiac arrest, at the age of 44. He said that his sister and Gertie, who he says he could not only call a sister-in-law but a friend, had known each other since they were young and were the most loving couple he had ever seen, willing to sacrifice for each other.
“I have never seen people who needed so much, were ready to sacrifice for each other. The best moments with Gerti were when we played cards, he always wanted to win. He was the one who brought us together. We are all from this momentum of time, Gerti always brought us together”, he said.
The sad one says it’s because he’s in politics and the politicians… didn’t appreciate him properly!
“I’m sorry that you didn’t appreciate what Gerti was fighting for, we didn’t take it seriously, and today we saw the impact it had. It gives me a consolation for the fact that all his kindness and commitment, beyond the idiocies of the political moment, the citizens gave a message about what kind of people should be promoted, Albania is not only of those who shout, but of those who have values that take things kindly. Gert on his saddest day gave us a revolution of kindness. Me and Eldira have a consolation for this alone”, he said.
“If until yesterday I was an uncle to their two children, now I will be as a father, I promised Gerti until my last breath”, said Çepani between tears.
