Ida Mêngjesi, the sister of lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi, who a few days ago woke up from a coma in the private clinic in Athens where he is being treated after being barbarically raped, has reacted on social networks by thanking all those who stood by his family throughout this period.
The sister of the lawyer, who was brutally raped by three young men on the morning of May 29 in the area of the former Block, had just left the child in the kindergarten, said that “his awake eyes woke up from a bad dream”, expressing full of faith that “God will raise Sokol to his feet again”.
She writes that during these “horrible days that have lasted like months, we have learned that nothing is worth as much as the supernatural power of human love that was poured out on her”.
Sokol Mngjesi, after being hit with hard objects and punches and kicks, which caused hematomas on his head and brain damage, was sent to Trauma where he was intubated. A few days later he was taken to a private hospital in Athens and then on June 13 he came out of the coma.
