PD has started preparations for the general elections of 2025 and will publish the list of candidates for deputies in March. This was confirmed by the Secretary of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party Arbi Agalliu in “Studio Live” on Report TV in an interview with journalist Arbër Hitaj.
“In March, we will release the full list of candidates for MPs in 2025. We will be able to reveal to all Albanians our program to hold hearings and receive opinions. On the other hand, let’s not forget that MPs who are in the official PD submit amendments on a daily basis. Today I have submitted an amendment for invoices to businesses. The publication of the names of the candidates will be at the end or in the middle of March. We have undertaken to present our entire team”.
Agalliu stated that PD has also concluded the electoral program for 2025.
“We went with the program. PD has completed the electoral program for 2025 and it has been sent to our partners CDU-CSU”, he added on Report TV.
“Today we are a little over a year before the elections, which gives every candidate for deputy the opportunity to clarify his program in his area and increase the PD, making it possible to change and win the elections. We must not forget the denunciation. If you go to the official website of the PD, you will see that there is no day without two, three or four denunciations of the DP”.
While comparing the results of PD and Reestablishment in coalition with the Freedom Party in the May 14 elections, Agalliu expressed his conviction that DP will be an alternative in these upcoming elections, promising that they will not have to come to power distant
“With Alibeaj at the head of the DP for the local elections, he got so many votes. On the other hand, Reestablishment with LSI on their best day got as many votes as they did. By a narrow margin. Today that we talk a lot, they have approached the PD, but we strongly believe that by building a program and with a good team of clean deputies, with the good relationship with the USA and Britain, we will be able to bring out those Albanians who did not go to vote. I believe that we will be an alternative, the coming to power will not be this distant”, he added.
