Deputy Agron Shehaj commented on the Now show on Euronews Albania, the Transparency International report on the level of corruption in Albania.
According to Shehaj, Albania has corruption because the government will not fight corruption, as it maintains power through it.
“We know that Albania is a corrupt country, there is no need for DASH to tell us. Albanians know this only by looking at the standard of living of politicians. But personal enrichment is what catches our eye the most, but the serious consequences of corruption are not that these politicians took a part of the budget, the most serious consequences are the political ones. Albania will not fight corruption because it has to do with political power. Rama is not doing corruption to steal, but to keep power. “Democracy in Albania does not work, because we have a government that is holding power through corruption”, said Shehaj.
