Journalist Arjan Çani said in the Now show on Euronews Albania that the investigations launched against Meta, Kryemadhi, Berisha or other high officials is a way to clean politics from some characters who have closed their cycle.
According to him, both Berisha and Meta have no chance to come to power, their struggle leads nowhere, so the best thing they could do is to leave politics and even the country.
“I have said the solution, that we live in a small tragic-comic era where apparently some powerful people have decided to change the elites in this country, how is this done? It is difficult to vote because we are one of the only countries in the world where the vote is not original, it is not read well. A mechanism must be found, the one who has the power in his hand is trying to clean the yard from some people, we are not dealing with 2-3 sinners, everyone is here. If SPAK opens a property investigation, every high official would be under investigation. Apparently Berisha and Meta have also decided not to leave, I think that if they left they would leave them comfortably. It is a way to remove people from politics. I said that I still don’t understand what all these people are hoping for, that they will gain from this story, they claim that heroes will emerge at the end or something else, it seems illogical to me. The only rational case is Ahmetaj, who ran away, they no longer enter the game. When you have received a stain from justice and you have been in power, you are burned. They had to leave the country because they risk going to prison. When you have exhausted your power and you see that a big sword is coming at you, a guillotine, what do you fight for”, said Çani.
