The leader of the Joint Movement, Arlind Qori, has stated that he will not form a coalition with new parties for the May 11 elections.
He told News24 that one of the elements that distinguishes the Joint Movement is its political honesty, which, according to him, is also recognized and accepted by the party’s rivals.
“They recognize our political honesty, it is rare,” said Qori.
He added that another characteristic of the Joint Movement is its political courage, proven and physically, in the face of the government and the oligarchs. Qori emphasized that his party is anti-clientelistic, ensuring that they do not promise jobs, tenders or PPPs to anyone.
He further added that the Joint Movement is building a governing program with four main pillars, where the creation of a developmental state and the strengthening of institutions that can reorient the country’s economic development are at the center.
Qori added that the Joint Movement is also focused on strengthening the social state and supporting the minimum living wage for citizens. According to him, the Democratic Party has stolen the idea of the minimum living wage from the Joint Movement, but he called this “the best theft”, provided that citizens’ money is not stolen.
“We are building a 4-pillar government program, where at the center is the developmental state with strong institutions that can reorient the country’s economic development by defining several strategic sectors. Today we have very little production and we sell it to each other within the country.
We are also focused on the social state, we are in favor of the minimum living wage. The DP has stolen the idea of the minimum living wage from us, but this is the best theft, as long as they do not steal citizens’ money. Today we have the potential to significantly increase the average pension to at least 320 euros”, he said.
