The Special Court of Appeal has decided to announce on Thursday (January 25) the decision for the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who through his lawyers appealed the security measure of ‘house arrest’.
Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has spoken to journalists about the postponement of the decision for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who is seeking freedom in the Special Court of Appeal.
Gjokutaj said that there is no equality in the trial against Berisha, while he accused the prosecutors where he said that they come to the court like in a coffee shop because there are no judges.
He also stated that Berisha, with his appearance the day before in SPAK, has dropped the entire alibi of avoiding justice.
“The prosecutors today took a stand, they stuck to their variable request. We await the decision. The decision not to administer the dismissal of the judge is a major violation.
We will wait for the decision to be announced tomorrow at 9.
The lack of a court makes the prosecutors come to court like in a coffee bar, they don’t have a problem with the arguments they make. There is no equality of arms in this trial. We wait for tomorrow, I cannot hypothesize today about tomorrow’s decision.
SPAK’s alibi that Berisha is avoiding SPAK is finally dropped and it was proven that the process is proceeding normally and I don’t understand the sense of measures when we are in a new reality”, said Berisha’s lawyer.
We remind you that the decision for Sali Berisha will be announced on Thursday, January 25, at 09:00.
