Speaking about the footage from the Parliament, when the opposition MPs were clearly seen “fighting” with the guard, Tomor Alizoti in “Opinion” said that a form of spectacle has been built.
It was exactly this phrase that angered the journalist Blendi Fevziu, who said in the ongoing debate: “You have nothing to do with the donkey and fall for the donkey. Come here and hit the media.”
Blendi Fevziu: Alizoti, what’s going on?
Tomor Alizoti: With all due respect, I have the impression that everything is built in a form of spectacle.
Blendi Fevziu: In a form of spectacle?! Why are you going to tell me how to build the show?
Tomor Alizoti: Will you let me speak or not?
Blendi Fevziu: No, I won’t let you talk. You start talking about me “it is built in the form of a spectacle”. But why didn’t I do the show? What should I give?
Tomor Alizoti: Can I say my answer?
Blendi Fevziu: No, you can’t say how long you started with me.
Tomor Alizoti: But, no, I didn’t start it with you. I’m saying in public perception, it has nothing to do with you.
Blendi Fevziu: You are not the public perception. You are a person who speaks for himself.
Tomor Alizoti: As I see the public perception.
Blendi Fevziu: No sir, you can’t say how you see the public perception of my show. I will remove these views, what will I do?
Tomor Alizoti: No, don’t take them off.
Blendi Fevziu: Come here in my place and give a speech.
Tomor Alizoti: Please Mr. Fevziu! Why did you get so emotional?
Blendi Fevziu: I understood that there is a constant tactic of politicians who come and intimidate journalists, “why give this and not that”. I give what I think the public likes and I have been giving it for 28 years. So next time you start the show as it is about to start, don’t start it with me.
Tomor Alizoti: Definitely! I started a speech, I don’t believe that… We have done many shows together…
Blendi Fevziu: We are also friends together, but I don’t allow you to start the show with me. We are friends outside drinking coffee, here the God of this studio is me, not you but whoever.
Tomor Alizoti: Maybe you felt that way, but it has nothing to do with this job. When I say “public perception” I’m not talking about you. The whole public perception today…My opinion, this is my opinion, this is my point of view, as I see it could be wrong. All public perception today in Albania and not in your show sees the issue of democracy in Albania as an aesthetic issue and this has nothing to do with your show, forget about this work. It’s a conversation we’re having, I’m having it about the concept, I’m not having it about the show. Why, because at the moment that in a country the most important institution, which is the Parliament, does not work, all the media in Albania, I’m not saying it on purpose, but I’m saying that it deals with the aesthetics of things.
Blendi Fevziu: We have made endless shows here, about what is happening in the Parliament.
Tomor Alizoti: This is not a debate between us.
Blendi Fevziu: Not even with the media.
Tomor Alizoti: This is a main debate that happens in many new democracies, don’t get me wrong, this matter has nothing to do with us.
Blendi Fevziu: No, this reminds me of a saying of the people “you have nothing to do with the donkey and it falls on the donkey”. You come here and fall for the media, but what does the media do? These are images that you have published on social networks! We got them from the DP deputies!
