Ilir Proda has been appointed as the General Director of the State Police.
The news was given by the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers today (September 2).
“With the proposal of the Minister of the Interior, the Council of Ministers approved the new Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, after a competition of more than 10 senior police officers and the verifications made through the process of the purity of the candidate’s image. The candidate who was appointed General Director of Police today will be in charge of the state police”, said Minister Hoxha.
The Minister of the Interior declared that immediately after the appointment of Ilir Proda, the competition for the local leaders of the State Police will be opened.
“Immediately after his appointment as director general of the State Police, we will decide the new competition which will open a new process regarding all police leaders in the districts”, he said.
