The Political Director of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, in “Ditari” with Andi Nuraj, on A2 CNN, showed where immigrants who want to register to vote in this year’s parliamentary elections are going wrong.
“Some mistakes are being made during this process and they are putting a wrong page of the document that has the address or putting a different address than the one on the document. These are mistakes that are quickly corrected. Also, another identification document is put in place of the Albanian identity card. This is also a frequent mistake. Therefore, I think that so far it has not gone badly. There is a large number of requests, around 136 thousand. It is the first time of this process and we Albanians often leave things for the last day”, said Balla.
“There is great interest from our compatriots living around the world. So far, 84-85 thousand requests have been approved. There are still 30 days to register. “We kept our word to guarantee the diaspora vote and therefore I urge them to take 5 minutes to register in order to vote,” Balla added.
