Leonard Hide, the mayor of Libohova, has been charged by the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK).
Hide is suspected of having allowed the cultivation of narcotic plants for a profit during his tenure as head of the Crimes Section at the Gjirokastra Police Station.
“Based on the data available from the services as well as the recent events that took place in the administrative units ‘Cepo’ and ‘Picar’ create reasonable suspicions that in addition to the persons involved in this activity, police officers who had the legal obligation to the discovery of criminal activity, but they have allowed this activity against rewards and through their actions and inactions”, the investigation file states.
It is known that in addition to Hida, there are other persons in the file who have been taken as defendants.
