The chairman of the “Mundësia” party, Agron Shehaj, and Pano Sko, co-chairman of “Nisma Thurje” which is in coalition with Adriatik Lapaj’s “Albania Becomes”, debated about the closed lists.
While Shehaj said that they made a mistake with Sula and the inclusion of family members, Soko replied that when people come to politics, they enter to compete, not to cool the chairman, as according to him, happens in Shehaj’s party.
Excerpt from the debate
Agron Shehaj: The movement that these people made, besides being populist, has caused many problems. At the first moment they included Dash Sula, even though they said they would overthrow the system, they included the parents, and after the citizens reacted on social networks, they said to remove them. If you did it the wrong way, it will backfire.
Pano Soko: You are talking about your party.
Agron Shehaj: Are you shutting me up?
Pano Soko: You can’t shut me up either. You can’t talk about me, I’ll talk about myself. Don’t bother me. Don’t raise your voice.
Agron Shehaj: Calm down.
Pano Soko: You can’t talk about me.
Agron Shehaj: I’ll talk about what’s wrong with him..
Pano Soko: You can’t talk about me. Don’t bother me. You’ll see when election day comes.
Agron Shehaj: Okay, I’ll talk. Are you okay, brother? Are you going to tell me what to talk about? I’ll talk about you because Rakipi invited me.
Pano Soko: Don’t talk about me. Don’t raise your voice at me, do you understand? Okay?
Agron Shehaj: Stop this nonsense now.
Pano Soko: Shhhhtttt.
Agron Shehaj: Are you okay?
Pano Soko: I’ll talk. Hey, what’s this, brother?
Agron Shehaj: Hey, talk as much as you want, but let me finish. Are you sane? Let me finish.
Pabo Soko: I won’t let you finish because you’re wrong.
Shehaj: You’re not the one to decide if I’m wrong. I’ve clashed with ministers and MPs and no one has stopped me from expressing my opinion. The truth that burns a lot is that these people made a populist move, but it went wrong. We didn’t do it because we need to be transparent with the citizens. These people have chosen a different path. They could have appointed party members who had no ambition to become MPs, not family members. The other one was Dash Sula, who was appointed and then removed. And the mistake was that they said it wasn’t true. And they attacked public opinion.
Pano Soko: Let me continue, because you’ve said it four times, you’re lying. Dash Sula is a man who had the integrity to tell Sali Berisha what he had. As for his parents, we had them as a guarantee. When people come to politics, they enter to compete, not to cheer for the mayor. They come to Goni to cheer for him. The open list with Mr. Shehaj is in vain because there are some slaves who will work to make him a deputy. This real debate is to be with the new or the old.
Ylli Rakipi: Why are you intimidated?
