A terror event worthy of “Hollywood movies” happened in the early hours of this morning in Durrës, where the weapons of crime are once again raised against the police.
According to the police, a citizen terrorized his minor children (6 and 11 years old), and even fired a Kalashnikov at the RENEA forces.
According to media sources, it is reported that the citizen identified as Aleks Marku (40 years old), took his two children hostage in a rented apartment and shot several times with firearms. The Durrës police arrived at his apartment around 02:20, but the perpetrator shot several times through the window.
The Durrës Police asked for the help of the “RENEA” Special Department, as specialized intervention was needed to avoid endangering the lives of the children in the apartment and of the Police employees. But “RENEA” went to the scene and called on the 40-year-old to surrender, he continued to shoot from the window of the apartment.
After a few hours of negotiations, it became possible to neutralize and capture Alex Mark, in whose apartment a Kalashnikov firearm, a comb with cartridges, and 18 cartridges were found inside the apartment.
The police took out the 2 children, who are in good health and are being assisted by psychologists.
