The former mayor of Lezha, Fran Frrokaj, is also a beneficiary of the criminal amnesty that starts to be implemented this Wednesday.
Frrokaj was sentenced in October 2022 to 3 years in prison for the criminal offense of abuse of office, for alienating property at “Rana e Hedhun” in Shengjin.
“I hope that no one will experience the prison experience,” said Frrokaj after leaving the premises of the Reçi prison in Shkodër, where he stayed from the moment the decision was final.
The former mayor of Lezha was also sentenced by the Special Court to 1 year and 4 months in prison for abuse of office and misappropriation of property. But there is still no final decision on this. Among other things, Frrokaj has been sentenced not to exercise public functions for 5 years.
