Members of the Ukrainian army’s special forces have decided to send a unique Christmas message with a video posted on YouTube.
“Dear Ukrainians, the SSO recruits wish you a Merry Christmas. This holiday reminds us of strength and faith, unity and the indomitable spirit of Ukraine,” the post reads.
“We stand here to protect your peace so that you can spend this day with your families – filling your homes with warmth and joy. We are with you in every prayer for our soldiers – we feel this in every member of the defense forces,” it said, among other things.
“May this Christmas bring peace to our hearts, strengthen our faith in victory and give us new strength to overcome all obstacles. We remember our comrades who gave their lives for the freedom of our homeland and continue to fight for the future of our country. May God protect you, your families and our Ukraine. We believe that together we will overcome all difficulties. Merry Christmas! Glory to Ukraine”, he concluded.
And in the video, a recruit from an elite unit is seen offering his comrade a flute, which he says a girl gave him during the evacuation of a settlement.
Knowing that he had been a musician before the war, he decides to give it to him and asks him to play something, even in wartime.
