The 19-year-old student, Hygerta Meta, even in today’s court session, took responsibility for the murder of her father, Pëllumb Meta, insisting that the reason was that he wanted to betroth her against her will.
However, this reason has been taken with reservations by both the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office, to undertake such an extreme act, as killing the father.
Media sources indicate that the 19-year-old girl underwent a medical examination today before going to court to see if she was sexually abused. The same sources confirm that the test result was negative.
She was left in prison together with her two brothers, Hysen and Amarildo Meta. The police suspect that the role of the executioner was the eldest son Hysen Meta, who had the fingerprints on the crime weapon. After the murder, they buried their father near the house, in a cattle shed to lose track of them.
