Journalist Sokol Bregu and activist Zhaklin Lekatari clashed in the studio of the show “Now with Erla Mëhillin” in Euronews Albania yesterday evening, while the suicide (or murder) of 27-year-old Sibela Abedini was being discussed.

Lekatari asked journalist Bregu not to call her “my heart”, because according to her, this is a kind of disrespectful treatment of girls and women on the screen, but to call her by name.

On the other hand, Bregu told Lekatar that she did not represent anything.

Excerpts from the studio conversation:

Bregu: You are in the race for money, I am in the race for the right.

Lekatari: I didn’t accuse you of anything, but I asked you to respect me by not calling me my heart, but Mrs. Lekatari. My name is Zhaklin Lekatari. If women are treated this way on TV, how can they be treated at home.

Bregu: Do you create a respect? OK sorry

Lekatari: Forgiveness is not accepted. I am not calling any of the guests here my heart, my grape, my lover.

Bregu: Yes, you are right. What do you represent? You are a problem.

Lekatari: The problem is not me, even if I disappear, then the problem will continue again. Are you getting paid here today?

Bregu: No. The girl has problems because they did not call her to the BBV and she exploded.

Lekatari: Be more careful when you receive the guests, because I don’t come here to be offended.
