A shocking event happened in Greece, where the uncle killed his niece with a screwdriver, hitting her several times in the neck, after the minor resisted the rape.
“I took him to the field and killed him with a screwdriver”, he said after discovering the macabre crime.
The little girl’s uncle is reported to have played “theatre” as he pretended to be worried about the fate of the 11-year-old, even after finding the body he went to comfort her parents in the morning before he was arrested.
He was “betrayed” by the security cameras, after the police verified the footage based on the information they received from the girl’s parents about the places where she had moved before she disappeared.
Soon, on one of the security cameras, the little girl was seen getting into the author’s car.
The little girl is seen leaving the house and running inside a car that had stopped near her grandfather’s apartment.
The police accompanied the 37-year-old man and during the interrogation he tried to convince him that he had nothing to do with the girl’s disappearance, but he encountered contradictions.
In the end, he confessed that he killed his niece by hitting her in the neck with a screwdriver. He even told the police the place where the girl’s body was thrown, in the area of Katarrahi.
According to the police, it is suspected that the killer took the 11-year-old out into the field, attempted to rape her, and when she resisted, grabbed a screwdriver and killed her by repeatedly stabbing her in the neck.
The perpetrator was arrested in 2017 for raping a 14-year-old girl and in 2020 was sentenced at first instance by the Mixed Jury Court in Zakynthos to nine years in prison, but his sentence was suspended.
He was released on conditions, which included reporting to the police station and not repeating his crime.
